Based in the heart of the Minervois, in the middle of a troglodyte village bathed in sunshine, Denis and Marie-Line will warmly welcome you to their ancient renovated house, dating back to the 18th century, and the tranquillity of the surrounding area.

La Caunette is a wine-growing village rich with history, nestling at the foot of cliffs which house many caves (known as 'caunes' in French which gave the village its name).  The river Cesse meanders past.

Entering the village from the West, you will discover the church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption.  Its roman nave, dating back to the 11th century, was greatly modified in the 16th century.

The old part of the village formerly fortified, known as the Carambelle, is noted for its preserved 13th century tower and its entrance door protected by castellations and arrow slits.
